CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK CHANGES: New Standard and Enhanced disclosure application forms

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STANDARD AND ENHANCED CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK APPLICATIONS

On 1st December 2012 the Criminal Records Bureau and Independent Safeguarding Authority merged to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The DBS has launched new forms for ALL paper-based Standard and Enhanced disclosures applications, and will cease processing any Standard or Enhanced disclosure applications received on the old CRB forms after 28th February with no period of grace.

From Thursday 21st February, all Standard and Enhanced disclosure applications sent to HireRight MUST be submitted on the new DBS application forms. Applications submitted on old CRB forms after this date will be returned and will need to be resubmitted on the new DBS form. Any surplus CRB application forms in your possession will need to be securely destroyed.

The above changes by the DBS only affect paper-based Standard and Enhanced disclosure applications. e-Bulk applications and Basic disclosure applications (processed through Disclosure Scotland) remain unaffected.
