In August 2016 we released our half year discrepancy statistics that show 63% of candidates have an error on their application. This figure rose to 68% for the financial services industry, with a high of 71% in February 2016.
HireRight Managing Director EMEA, Steve Girdler, recently spoke to Share Radio to discuss the findings, providing insight as to what classes as a discrepancy on the report and why more businesses are conducting background checks. As well as the findings, Steve also discussed what background screening really looks into, his top tip for candidates when applying to a role, and his own personal experience of screening.
