The HireRight leadership team is an assembly of innovative, seasoned professionals. Its leaders have represented many of the largest and most well-respected businesses in the world.

Guy Abramo

Guy Abramo

President and Chief Executive Officer

Guy Abramo is the chief executive officer of the newly merged HireRight and General Information Services (“GIS”) companies. Formerly the chief executive officer of GIS, he joined us following a seven-year stint as president of Experian Consumer Services Division, overseeing the group’s strategy, direction and operation.

Prior to joining Experian, Guy served as president of Tallan, Inc, a nationwide professional services firm specializing in internet media design, business intelligence and custom software solutions. Before joining Tallan, he served for seven years as executive vice president, worldwide and chief strategy and information officer at Ingram Micro.

Preceding Ingram Micro, Guy served three years as a managing director at KPMG Consulting and the leader of the marketing intelligence consulting practice. While at KPMG, he was a member of the firms’ Technology Leadership Council and co-founder of the Center for Data Insight data mining and marketing automation lab at Northern Arizona University.

Guy is also a 12-year veteran of the Exxon Mobil Corporation. At Mobil, he held a number of positions across both operating and headquarters divisions. He began his Exxon career in research and development and achieved five patents for innovative fuels and fuel additives technologies. He later served in a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the Americas Marketing and Refining Division including manager of marketing services,  assistant gasoline business manager of the U.S. Division and manager of administration and controls for a major Northeastern marketing unit.

Guy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University.

Steve Girdler

Steve Girdler

Managing Director, EMEA and APAC

Steve Girdler is the managing director of EMEA and APAC, responsible for building deeper customer relationships and driving HireRight’s growth outside the U.S.

Steve joined HireRight in April 2013 with a background in executive management, business development, marketing, and product development with expertise in the resourcing, HR solutions and professional services industries. During his tenure, Steve has expanded HireRight’s global footprint in the Middle East, India and Asia Pacific and tripled revenue in the regions as well.

Steve has worked for KPMG as well as some of the largest names in the resourcing and outsourcing industry such as Manpower, Kelly Services and Adecco. In his most recent role at Adecco he was director of London 2012, a three-year endeavor that included the successful recruitment and delivery of 8,300 staff for the 2012 Olympic Games as well as the management of the Adecco Olympic sponsorship. The project was lauded in the media and government for delivering the most diverse and inclusive games ever through the development of innovative tools and programs.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and philosophy from the University of Kent.

Ko Hui Yen

Ko Hui Yen

General Manager, Asia Pacific

Ko Hui Yen is HireRight’s General Manager for Asia Pacific, responsible for plotting HireRight’s strategic growth across the region.

Prior to joining HireRight in January 2019, Hui Yen served in multiple senior leadership roles at organisations including ESI International, where she successfully established new offices and sales teams in China. She was also Managing Director at professional training & coaching firm momenta Group, which under her supervision went on to grow revenues by 15% in less than 2 years.

Most recently, Hui Yen co-founded Kaleidoskope, a consulting and training firm that boasted clients including global MNCs and government agencies.

Hui Yen received her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Marcellus Solomon

Marcellus Solomon

General Manager, India

Marcellus is the General Manager for India, responsible for building local service delivery model, enhance customer relationships and driving HireRight’s growth in India.

Marcellus is a business leader with a proven track record in charting strategic business growth and delivering customer success. Having spent more than a decade in various leadership roles, Marcellus’ strong understanding and knowledge of the local market will play a crucial role mapping out HireRight’s development and growth across India.

Marcellus has more than 6 years of experience in the background screening industry under his belt. In his previous role, he was instrumental in developing product and service enhancements for candidates & clients for better candidate & customer experience.

Prior to this, Marcellus held a variety of leadership and sales positions in companies including First Advantage, Quest Diagnostics, Kelly Services and Manpower Group.

Marcellus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Osmania University, Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from VJIM and also has completed 1 year Executive programme in General Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Summa McCosker

Summa McCosker

Country Manager, Australia

Summa McCoser is HireRight’s Country Manager for Australia. In her role, she is responsible for building local service delivery, developing local product expertise and knowledge, enhancing customer relationships and driving HireRight’s growth in Australia and New Zealand.

Summa has been in the background checking industry since 1998, when the industry was in its infancy. She was the former owner and Managing Director of PeopleCheck which was established in 2006. She is responsible for growing the business to a highly successful enterprise known for its “service-first” mindset. PeopleCheck was acquired by HireRight in 2019. 

Summa is a founding member of the APAC Professional Background Screeners Association (PBSA) Council, Outgoing Chair of the APAC PBSA Executive Committee, as well as Chair of the Global Learning Centre.

Summa has a Masters in Criminology from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Western Sydney.

Tris Fenwick

Tris Fenwick

Country Manager, Japan

Tris Fenwick is HireRight’s Country Manager for Japan, responsible for driving HireRight’s strategic growth in the market. 

He has over 20 years of experience in the background check industry, holding Managing Director roles for a range of consulting and pre-employment screening companies and oversaw markets such as Malaysia, Japan, Korea and China. Most recently, Tris was Managing Director for J-Screen K.K, a company he founded that is specialised in providing background screening, company due diligence investigations, anti-money laundering (AML) programmes and know your client (KYC) screening to a broad range of overseas corporations. J-Screen K.K was acquired by HireRight in 2019. 

Tris received his bachelor’s degree in law from the University of London.

Akiko Wakaizumi

Senior Operations and Business Development Manager, Japan

Akiko Wakaizumi is HireRight’s Senior Operations and Business Development Manager for Japan, responsible for driving growth and leading day-to-day operations for the pre-employment screening business in Japan.

Having held sales and management positions across various different industries, Akiko has accumulated a wide range of experience and expertise throughout her career. She has over a decade of experience in the background screening industry, working at another reputed pre-employment screening company as a Sales and Marketing Consultant and was the company’s primary Overseas Project Manager, creating reports on employment background checks in both English and Japanese. She joined J-Screen K.K in 2016, which was later acquired by HireRight in 2019.

Akiko earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Mathematics minor from the University of Texas at Arlington. 

Mudasir Pasha

Mudasir Pasha

Director of Operations, APAC

Mudasir Pasha is based out of Bangalore and is responsible for leading HireRight’s background screening service delivery functions for the Asia Pacific region. He is also responsible for growing the company’s presence in the region.

He has more than a decade and a half of experience in Operations, Migrations, Training, Client Management, Business Development and Acquisitions. Mudasir came to HireRight from Aegis Limited, where he was Vice President, managing service delivery. He holds a degree in Business Management from Bangalore University.

Caroline Smith

Caroline Smith

Deputy General Counsel, International

Caroline Smith has been with the HireRight group for over 10 years and is Deputy General Counsel for HireRight’s International business (EMEA/APAC region). Caroline assists in the negotiation of contracts across the region and leads the International business compliance function advising on a range of issues including data protection and regulatory updates.

Caroline is a UK qualified lawyer with over 18 years’ experience and prior to joining HireRight, she was with Herbert Smith LLP and Clyde & Co LLP working on a range of complex international corporate, corporate insolvency and commercial matters.

Caroline earned her Master of Arts degree at the University of Saint Andrews and went on to study law at the College of Law in York earning the GDL and LPC postgraduate qualifications.
