Take Part in HireRight's 2023 Global Benchmark Survey
As we look forward to seeing the results of HireRight's 2023 Global Benchmark Survey, here are five key findings from HireRight's 15th Annual Benchmark Report, based on last year’s survey findings.
Each year, HireRight conducts a Global Benchmark Survey of human resources, risk, and talent acquisition professionals to find out more about the HR landscape – in particular, looking at background screening, talent acquisition, and remote working. We use this information to compile our annual Benchmark Report, an award-winning, in-depth look at recruitment and background-screening trends around the world.
The theme for HireRight's 2023 Global Benchmark Survey and upcoming report is “Navigating New Territory.” We want to know how businesses’ talent acquisition, background screening, and retention activities are changing due to the macro-economic conditions that are impacting recruitment landscapes globally. The survey is live until Wednesday, March 8, at 11:59 p.m. (PST). If your role covers talent acquisition, talent management, risk management, or background screening, we'd love to hear your thoughts!
As we look forward to seeing the results of this year’s survey, here are five key findings from HireRight’s 15th Annual Benchmark Report, based on last year’s survey findings.
Five Takeaways from HireRight’s 15th Annual Benchmark Survey
Accuracy of results was the most important factor for survey participants from all regions when choosing a screening provider. Will business priorities have changed to focusing more on speed and getting talent onboarded as quickly as possible, or will screening accuracy retain its top spot for companies looking to engage with a new screening provider this year?
Criminal record checks in each region were at three-year highs in 2022, according to our survey respondents. Will criminal record checks continue to climb in popularity, or will cost-cutting measures introduced this year limit their usage, along with the uptake of other background checks?
Between two-fifths and half of respondents from each region said their business used an applicant tracking system (ATS). Will more businesses be looking to introduce an ATS, or integrate their ATS with their screening provider in 2023 to help streamline their recruitment processes?
Despite “The Great Resignation,” around half of respondents from North America and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) reported that their recruitment activities continued as they had expected in 2021. Will global macro-economic conditions have changed recruitment activity for businesses in 2022, and will companies be expecting to grow or reduce the size of their workforces in 2023?
The percentages of organizations’ workforces that are working remotely appear to be decreasing and are expected to reduce further by the start of 2023. Will the number of workers conducting some or all of their duties remotely have declined, as predicted, by January 2023? Do employers expect that the uptake of remote working will continue to reduce by the start of 2024, as many employers, such as Disney and Apple, are requiring their workforce to return to primarily office-based working?
Look for this year’s Benchmark Report this summer, where we will compare last year’s reported data with this year’s survey findings in our 2023 Global Benchmark Report.
