The Health Care Sanctions Check identifies sanctioned and excluded individuals in the healthcare field. HireRight’s source provides data for four levels of healthcare sanction checks: Federal, State, State-Med, and All.
Federal: Includes OIG, GSA, OFAC and other federal agencies.
State Med: Includes all of the sources in Federal plus Medicare/Medicaid Opt-Out, 40+ state Medicaid exclusion lists and contractor disqualification/debarment lists.
State: Includes all of the sources in Federal and StateMed, plus sanction and disciplinary sources from one state of choice.
All: The most comprehensive healthcare sanction check; includes all of the sources in Federal and State Med, plus sanction and disciplinary sources from all available published U.S. jurisdictions.
How Health Care Sanctions Check
Sanctioned individuals in the healthcare field include those individuals who have committed fraud and/or have had adverse disciplinary actions taken against them by either federally funded programs or state licensing agencies. Sanctioned individuals are excluded from participation and funding in various healthcare programs. The types of actions located by this search may include, but are not limited to: reprimands, probation, suspensions, and revocations of provider licenses; DEA violations; professional misconduct and other similar sanctions, debarments, disciplines and exclusions.
