How UK Criminal Checks Works
When you order a Global Criminal Search and have the appropriate account set-up you will be asked to answer a number of dynamic questions regarding the job role and function being applied for. Based on the answers you provide, HireRight Global’s intelligent technology will determine whether a Standard or Basic disclosure check could be appropriate. If a Standard Disclosure check could be appropriate you will be asked to confirm eligibility for this service. Where a Standard Disclosure check is not eligible HireRight will initiate a Basic Disclosure check for candidates with UK address history.
When you order a Global Criminal Search for a candidate with UK address history a UK Basic Disclosure check will be initiated. Alternatively you can order a Basic Disclosure check as a stand-alone service. A Standard Disclosure check can only be ordered through a registered body such as HireRight.
