IRVINE, Calif., June 15, 2018 – HireRight, a leading provider of global employment background checks, drug testing, education verification, and electronic Form I-9 and E-Verify solutions, is excited to announce that Catherine Aldrich, vice president of operations at HireRight, will be speaking at the SHRM 2018 Annual Conference, which takes place June 17 – 21 in Chicago. Ms. Aldrich’s talk focuses on how global companies must adapt to regional perceptions when conducting background checks.
If companies do not realize that candidates' opinions of background checks differ by country and culture, the screening process can become an obstacle in hiring qualified candidates. Ms. Aldrich will examine the perception of background checks in various countries and cultures, and share best practices for what HR departments can do to mitigate the concerns of wary candidates.
“We are very excited that Catherine will be speaking at the SHRM Conference this year,” said Jurgen Leijdekker, CEO at HireRight. “With employers experiencing an increasingly global workforce and evolving legislation, I’m confident attendees will find immense value in her session on global screening programs.”
Ms. Aldrich’s session takes place on Wednesday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. Attendees are also invited to visit HireRight’s booth #2642 to learn more about new and innovative solutions such as HireRight Analytics, Global ID Check, Adjudication and Applicant Center.
A recognized industry expert, Ms. Aldrich joined HireRight in November 2009. As vice president of operations, she is responsible for leading HireRight’s background screening service delivery functions, as well as overseeing HireRight’s consumer compliance departments. With nearly thirty years of experience in the background screening industry, Ms. Aldrich also steers HireRight’s operational excellence teams with her focus on continuous process improvement.
Ms. Aldrich served on the very first Board of Directors for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), and has been a member of several professional organizations including the NAPBS Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
